Forestry First Aid +F Course Costs

£137.50 + £4.75 per learner as a Bolt-OnQualsafe Certificate is included in price

Course Duration

2.5 hours as Stand-alone

Course Pre-Requisites

Learners must:
• Be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training
Hold or be working towards a regulated first aid qualification (minimum 1 day course), prior to certification


There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a
minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.

 

Due to the practical nature of this course, Learners should wear appropriate clothing and footwear, e.g.
trousers and flat footwear.

Requalification requirements


This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the
certificate expiry date to remain qualified.

Level 3 Forestry First Aid +F (RQF)

The Forestry First Aid +F (QAR) qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers..

Successful learners will be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to treat a range of injuries and diseases that could occur in these environments, such as Lyme disease and catastrophic bleeding.
Designed to be undertaken in conjunction with a regulated First Aid qualification (minimum 1 day), this
qualification meets the recommendations of the First Aid at Work- Forestry Commission Policy and also
confirms a learner’s ability to meet a ‘licence to practice’ as determined by the Health and Safety (First
Aid) Regulations 1981, making it perfect for those operating in a wide range of workplaces.

 

Who is the Forestry First Aid +F Course for?

This qualification is for people who deal with emergency first aid at work enabling them to be workplace
first aiders under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and who have a specific interest or a
responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to be able to provide first aid when dealing
with special hazards in a forestry/agricultural context in an emergency situation.
