Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)
Our basic level paediatric first aid training course is suitable for anyone involved in childcare or looking after children, including parents, nannies, au pairs, babysitters, nursery, playgroup and creche staff who could have to handle emergency situations involving children's health and wellbeing.
Ofsted Childcare Register (OCR): Voluntary
Nannies and babysitters operating in the child's home need this paediatric first aid certficate if they wish to meet the criteria to register under the voluntary part of the OFSTED Childcare Register (OCR). Aside from the obvious extra confidence you will have in dealing with children's first aid emergencies, this gives extra credibility to an employer or family who take you on, and as such may invite higher earning potential.
Who can take an Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course?
Anyone working with children as part of their job, who operates as a backup to holders on the main Paediatric First Aid qualifications. This is a first stage course teaching the essentials of emergency first aid on children.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid Certificate
Successful completion of this course is awarded a Certificate, ‘Paediatric Emergency First Aider’ which is valid for three years.

Course Duration
1 Day, 9am – 4.30pm
Course Pre-Requisites
Learners must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the training.
There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a
minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent and must be able to cope with the physical aspects of the course such as performing CPR on the floor.
